Into the Darkness: Guest Wendy Harbath
Winter’s settling in, the colder air has arrived along with the darkness in the northern hemisphere. Mother Earth is in a state of hibernation, rest and rejuvenation. This season invites us to slow down, breathe deeper, sleep longer, softly listen to nature and our dreams, to nurture our bodies with warm stews and the fall harvest, and not force or work ourselves into a frenzy. Now is not that time. Winter offers an incredible opportunity to rest, let go and connect with ourselves far deeper.
What a great time for reflection. How have we grown this past year and what are we most grateful for. As we look beneath the surface, we may uncover some beliefs or ideas we are ready to relinquish. Perhaps the desire to release the struggle, a long held grudge, comparison, or a belief that says we are not enough, or any other egotistic criticism our mind chatters.
Going within into the darkness heals, and rejuvenates us. It leads us back home to our true authentic self. And we connect to something far deeper and magical within us – our intuition and creativity ignite. Heaven and our spirit applaud. This gift brings new ideas, and a new song within begin to emerge and flame.
“The dark night of the soul is a journey into light, a journey from your darkness into the strength and hidden resources of your soul.”
